Default Reference group, class statement, Proc Logistic

Hello All: I am using (ref=) after each one of my class variables. I
have not had any problems, except for with one of the variables for
which I want to use (ref='9'). For the other variables in the class
statement I used ref=first or ref=last.
In addition, SAS gives me error messages when I use the (event='1') in
the model statement?

Any ideas?
I could use them.......thanks!
Kristen
