I am not sure about the first part of your question but to
answer the second part, when I bought it, it was basically the the full
version of base SAS with only 1000 rows being displayed. I am not sure
if any additions have been made (SAS/GRAPH, SAS/STAT). And no, there
were no tutorials (point and click does not exist). I don't expect
drastic changes to the newer versions (if any).

Is buying the SAS learning edition the only way I can get a copy of SAS
to keep my skills upto date? I have been unemployed for a long time.
Is it basically the full version of SAS, but it will only display the
first 1000 rows in any dataset? Or is a tutorial program!?(point and
lick affair that shows you all the basics!?)
