I think Susan Slaughter would like to be included on the author list there.
Of course, she's too nice to complain about it...

This is definitely the book for beginners to start on.

I'm with you so far. All these books are good.

But I'm not sure this is the best intro SAS/stat book you can find. It's
good.
And Ramon Littell (the second author) knows his stuff. He's the lead author
on the "SAS System for Mixed Models" text. But there is also the stat intro
by Ron Cody and Jeff smith, as well as a bunch more at the SAS Publishing
online bookstore...
