Hi
newbie here Despite extolling virtues of metadata from years of sas experience, the fine-time of setting up a sas metadata server is new to me. More exasperating than fun, however. Perhaps its because I've been cutting my own install for years, that I didn't take the "new-users" route. I should. The metadata server may not be part of base sas, but, it needs no more. The install is the surprise. So many users and so many passwords - and just for my single user machine ! I'm still trying to get it all in play. Then I'll maybe be able to start the SAS management console, meaningfully! Then maybe I'll be able to start defining metadata to the new sas environment. Only then will I have "new sas environment meta data". I hope it's worth the struggle ! More from "this newbie" later. happy sas-ing |
