I would also add that SAS is not a simple price: it depends on a lot of
things.

Now (and when I worked for SAS) I always refer customers to the SAS office
and/or their account executive since the prices change and it is very
dependent on system attributes such as the server model, etc.

I've worked in a number of companies that have SAS on various platforms, but
I've never been the one to negotiate the licenses with SAS. Presumably not
many of us are in that position, hence the referral to a SAS office.

Does Sas have a non-disclosure clause on their contracts, I've sen a
lot of people ask others how much for Sas, but never an answer other
than to contact Sas?

Do you think I would be correct in saying that other than those who buy
Sas from an Educational Institution, no one on this list has purchased
a non-Learning Edition of Sas for their own personal use?

I have been at several companies where I have seen the annual renewal
invoices for Sas, but I have never seen an original agreement.
