Patrice,
Why donīt you use xHarbour.org? (www.whosaway.com Password: XHB) Now they updated to BCC 5.82 .xHarbour.com is built using Pelles and the company is doing a low profile: Visual xHarbour is still under beta status and as you can read here, support on SQLRDD is not very good. I use xHarbour.org without any problem from cvs or whosaway. |

Hello,

The VXH that comes with xHarbour Builder is a real release. Yes, we ALSO DO have a VXH beta build available for our users if they want. > support on SQLRDD is not very good. Why do you say that? Maybe because of Lucas's issues? As you must have seen, it was not a SQLRDD bug. Do you know of other open SQLRDD bugs? We are happy to receive a reduced sample so we can fix it. Thanks! > I use xHarbour.org without any problem from cvs or whosaway. And I'm happy for you it works OK. ;-) Patrick |

There are very important post regarding BCC 5.5 at Harbour. It has more than 11 years. Many rain since them. Also, xHarbour.com does not produce 64 bits executables. > > > Visual xHarbour is still under beta status and as you can read here > Not true. The VXH that comes with xHarbour Builder is a real release. Yes, we ALSO DO have a VXH beta build available for our users if they want. I never was able to find at the site. In fact, the info at your web is still the same in the past 4-5 years. Also, every day at Fivewinīs forums I see how existing xHarbour.com customers are moving to Harbour. Very strong supporters like Timm Stone has justmoved into Harbour and MSVC ![]() > > > support on SQLRDD is not very good. > Why do you say that? > Maybe because of Lucas's issues? As you must have seen, it was not a SQLRDD bug. See Elvira, Gilbert, etc. It is very funny when you reply to Lucas that youcanīt test with Fivewin and it is Linares fault. Next time I donīt want to resolve a support issue, I will say to my customer: sorry, I canīt test under Windows 7, I only can test on my own systems. Here works perfect, the fault is yours. Thanks a lot . |

Hi,
I want to put xHarbour on my new computer. I remember that the installer on free.xharbour was installing every thing including the compiler with all the settings. Was very nice for a new install. Indeed, the installer for BCC 5.82 would be very nice. Indeed a yearly update on free.xharbour and souceforge would be very nice too. But since i am not the one doing the work, I don't conplain too much. Patrice "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler." Albert Einstein |

I also like the included project manager xBuild and xBuildW. Very simple for no prof. user of xHarbour. >Indeed, the installer for BCC 5.82 would be very nice. >Indeed a yearly update on free.xharbour and souceforge would be very >nice too. > Until yet I didn't test BCC 5.82. The only difference that can prove to be important is that BCC 5.82 is more recent than BCC 5.5 so it "could" support newer system features. Hello Roberto,

So, than I reply that BCC is ALSO from a company that is "doing low profile" ;-) Its not because a company is out of the main picture that the compiler suddenly becomes bad ;-) > Also, xHarbour.com does not produce 64 bits executables. Correct. Whats your point? >>> Visual xHarbour is still under beta status and as you can read here >> Not true. The VXH that comes with xHarbour Builder is a real release. I'm sorry you could not find this info on our site. Thats a GOOD sign for all of us no? ;-) >> support on SQLRDD is not very good. >> Why do you say that? >> Maybe because of Lucas's issues? Where did I say i can not test it with FiveWIn. I simply showed Lucas that the GPF does NOT occur with plain xHarbour. What more can I do for a DEMO user?? Remember, Lucas is not a paying customer, he is still looking into SQLRDD. > Next time I donīt want to resolve a support issue, I will say to my customer: sorry, > I canīt test under Windows 7, I only can test on my own systems. Patrice,
Just go to whosaway. You can download and unzip xHarbour and BCC5.5. Then, go to bin\bld.bat xHarbour.com is a scam. It offers unfinished products at a very expensive price and no support. They are loosing customers every day and no one is intereted in a compiler produced by Pelles with an unfinished GUI and no support for 64 bits. Even the page is not updated and links are broken, as the company. Just run away from them. They should close soon so as not to scam new customers. |
