Default MIT Scheme binaries available for Fedora 3?

I can't compile MIT-Scheme 7.70 or 7.90 for Fedora Core 3 on a P4. Is
there a binary distro available somewhere (RPM, tar, etc) that I can
use instead?

If not, is there comparably capable version of scheme available that
*does* run/compile in Fedora?

Thanks,

Randy

I am currently running RHEL v4 with SCM, which I have found quite
adequate. From my understanding, RHEL v4 is just the stable version of
Fedora Core 3. Unfortunately, I only know of running MIT Scheme on Windows
XP. Sorry.

RPMs of SCM are available on the site.

Binary distributions are directly linked to from the main MIT Scheme page:

<http://www.gnu.org/software/mit-scheme/>

I recommend, though, using the latest development snapshot, linked to on:

<http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/mit-scheme/>

I believe it had some corrections for Fedora Core. (Also, #F =/= ()!)

Has MITscheme learned yet how to use more than 32MBytes of
memory for its heap? But for that shortfall, it's one of my
favorite implementations of scheme.
