Prolog is a computer language. A prologue is a short piece at the start
of a book, play etc.; just as an epilogue is a short piece at the end.

To make it more confusing, Americans spell "prologue" and "epilogue" as
"prolog" and "epilog".

In the 80's, Prologue was a French OS made by Bull. If my memory has no bad sectors, this OS was done for PC like computers, has a little database engine.

In France, the names 'Prolog', 'Prologic', 'Prologue' were often used in the early 80's - très à la mode, très branché.
