Default Who is smart enogh ?

Who is smart enogh to understand what is happening to my Delphi ?
I start a new application, do nothing, compile: I get an error msg saying: "Class TSpeedButton not found...Process stopped..."
If I go on, I get an "Application error" and get out of the complation. So I did add to the blank form a SpeedButton; I got a similare error msg saying: "Class TBitButton not found.... . I added a BitButton and this time compilation got to the end but compiled a totally different application (an old one I have whose source I have somewhere on my disk..)

I found that changing the application name from Project1 to Project2, everything returns to normal.

You what's happening ?

My money is on Quivis's suggestion being close to the answer

It sounds as if you have a .DFM module that is somehow
'dissassociated' from the Unit.pas

The fact that this happens with Default New Project suggests that your
project template has been mucked up

That can be done by right clicking on a Form and selecting Add to
Repository
- have a look at the file dates in: Delphi\ObjRepos and its sub
directories.
