Default new here with a desperate question....

i am kind of a novice in pure js. im learning as fast as i can... im up to oop js now... but the thing is my site im working on right now is laggy

im trying to animate the width on huge images the full size of the window... and it jumps....

currently im using css3transitions on a click event it is better but i need this to be smooth...

www.thesartorer.com

clearly its still in dev... but i dont want to be in dev anymore

i was going to use raf's (requestAnimatioFrame) but someone suggested css3

please send me the right direction even if i have to overhaul the whole thing... i just want to get this to be a solid peice....and work well
