Default Corba 2.5 server

Hi

I've got a vendor product that claims to be corba 2.5 compliant and is using
visibroker. If I'm writing a client to connect to that server, and I don't
have java idl compiler that is 2.5 compliant, can I get away with using the
compiler in java sdk 1.4 which is stating its idl compiler is 2.3x
compliant. More generally as a client, what do I need to be wary of if my
server is claiming to be 2.5 compliant..

thanks
raj
